BC ENERGY STEP CODE REPORT

we are specialized and licensed in home energy modelling using HOT2000 an energy simulation software by NRcan.

The Step Code has become a required Provincial standard for construction regulations that was implemented in April 2017. It emphasizes buildings that are more energy-efficient and exceed the standards set by the base BC Building Code. It achieves this by setting a range of quantifiable, performance-oriented energy efficiency standards for building projects.

ENERGUIDE RATING ENERGY RATING

The Green Line Energy team will collaborate with you to fulfill the energy target needs for your new projects. Every house varies in its design, which influences the methods used to meet the energy performance goals for that house. It is compulsory for every new house in vancouver to obtain the ERERGUIDE rating label, We assist developers, designers, architects, homeowners, and builders in fulfilling the EnerGuide criteria for their projects.

Blower Door Air tightness Testing

While conducting a blower door air. For the tightness test, our energy specialists install a big industrial fan at one of the house’s exterior doors and thoroughly seal the door, guaranteeing that it is airtight. The fan then depressurizes the home by removing all of the air, resulting in negative pressure or a vacuum effect. As air exits the home, outside air enters through various natural leakage spots, including doors, fireplaces, around windows, attic hatches, wiring, light switches, and outlets.

Infrared Thermal Imaging

Your residence is among the largest investments you’ll make in your lifetime, and by utilizing high-quality infrared cameras, our thermal imaging service aims to safeguard that investment.

While
using an Infrared Camera for inspection, we can identify significant building issues like air leaks, absent insulation, roof leaks, moisture intrusion, heating and ventilation problems, and additional concerns. These cameras enable our certified and professionally trained energy advisors to look behind the walls of your home to identify areas for potential energy enhancements.
